The vernal ponds
fill naturally when the water table is high enough. Ponds
offer so many opportunities for learning - places to study mini beats,
to launch ephemeral art, to see the reflections in, to attract wildlife.
We grow willow as a renewable resource in the vernal ponds. The ponds
are always used with care by the children for work supervised by an adult.
