Some of
our plum trees were planted from stones from the lunch boxes of the first
children to attend the 'new' Coombes when it opened in 1971. All along this
boundary there are things to gather and eat or observe - the plums, blackberries,
hazelnuts. The hedgerows are full of life - requiring managing to keep the
paths open yet keep their wild state - offering a place for rabbits and
other creatures to live.
