Reception places for September 2018

Children are welcomed into school at the beginning of the year that they are five. If you would like your child to join our school in the Reception Year starting in September 2018 please apply to Wokingham Borough Council. Applications for the 2018 to 2019 school year open on 13 November 2017. You can register your child's details with school admissions on the Citizen Portal to receive reminder emails about when to apply for a school place.

Please read the parent's guide to starting primary school (PDF) document). This contains all statutory information you need to know about applying for a school place.

All children are welcome to stay full-time after the first week, but if parents of summer born children wish them to start part-time only, this can be discussed with the class teacher.

Parents are notified if their application has been successful or unsuccessful at the beginning of the Summer Term.

Full details and information for the academic year 2018-19 can be found here on the Wokingham Borough website.

We are delighted that you are considering The Coombes Church of England Primary School as the school for your child!

If you have not yet visited our school, please do contact the school office on 0118 9760 751 to arrange for a tour with Mrs Atkins or Mr Powley on Wednesdays at 11:00am. They will be very proud to show you our school in action!
